All About Makedo
We were first introduced to Makedo by a Headteacher in Stirling, Scotland . As far as we know, it was the only school in Scotland - if not the UK - to be using Makedo at that point. We were immediately impressed with the high quality, simple yet effective tools. We could see so many potential uses within education settings. All you need is cardboard. And an imagination. And away you go!
(Lynne and Andrew from Single Steps Learning.)
Makedo is a set of tools designed specifically for use with cardboard. We are often asked for more information by educators, family members and guests, so here is a link to the Makedo website .
With special thanks to Makedo for permission to use their logo and images.
We could list the potential benefits from our 'adult' and 'educator' point of view. However, we are interested in the thoughts of the children. During this project, we will be asking the children to reflect on Makedo - the experience, the tools, the highlights, the challenges...and anything else! We will be recording their responses here.
Disclaimer: Although we openly promote Makedo as a fantastic resource in schools, we are not affiliated to the company and we do not receive renumeration for our recommendation.
